Original Steering System installation using many loose components connected together by hose and fittings.  Substantial power losses were incurred due to the large amount of heat generation developed by the multiple fittings and restrictions.  Note also that many of the components and end fittings were not even intended for marine use as indicated by the corrosion.  The amount of unsupported hose would eventually break the fittings, causing a complete steering system faultier with no back up method to return home.

The loose components were replaced with the H0071 Integrated Manifold shown below.  Piping was replaced as necessary to bring this application up to acceptable standards.  Reliability as well as efficiency was increased.  In addition, back up steering has been provided so that in case of any partial system failure, there is an emergency system.
